Engagement Launch campaign

The challenge

Summit Up is an Olympic-sized climbing centre in Oldham. A brand new venue needed to build excitement, generate sales and establish itself locally before opening, all within an eight-week window and a limited budget.

Our approach

Rate developed a comprehensive launch plan covering influencer recruitment, press, paid advertising and brand development across every channel. Five local family influencers were recruited and managed throughout the campaign, alongside press outreach that secured coverage in ITV Granada, Manchester Evening News, Oldham Times and About Manchester.

17 ads ran over eight weeks, targeting local families and climbers. The Facebook ads delivered an average cost-per-result of £0.08 against a UK average of £0.78, generating 590,000 reach and over 1 million impressions on a total spend of £3,150. Rate also enhanced Summit Up’s brand identity for the cross-platform campaign, creating design work that flexed across social ads, print, banners, display stands and bus t-sides.
